MicroGeN2 – groundbreaking nitrogen generator for laboratory use

Products of Technology Ltd (ptl), the award-winning Scottish gas generator manufacturer has launched a new nitrogen generator specifically for those requiring low flow rates of very high purity nitrogen gas for laboratory applications such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and Flame Ionisation Detection (FID).

Based on ptl's flagship product NitroGenerator and employing Pressure Swing Adsorption, MicroGeN2 produces up to 99.9995% pure nitrogen gas at flows of up to 200 cc/min and has the smallest footprint of any nitrogen generator on the market.

MicroGeN2, at only 48 cm high and 8 kg in weight, is ideal for labs currently using as little nitrogen as one cylinder per month and with limited space. The units are easily installed, have a low power requirement and need no regular maintenance.

Available with an optional state-of-the-art mini compressor, lab personnel do not even have to pipe compressed air from other sources in the lab – and the unit is still only 48 cm high.

Currently on display in New Orleans at PITTCON®2002 (at Booth 6139), MicroGeN2 will be showcased in Europe at Analytica 2002 (on Stand B1.550) in Munich next month.
